I was in charge of a booth and some decorating this night, so I hardly saw my girls, but they had a great time with their school friend, and I was glad to help.

Prayer Request…

Sophie, Sage, and I along with many others have been praying for this precious little girl, Ivy Joy.
See Mary's blog, you’ll need tissues.

Urgent prayers are needed as today is her second open heart surgeryOur hearts go out to little Ivy Joy and her strong family.  I tear up when I read all that this little girl has been through, in such a short time, and seeing that strong but scared look on her face.  Remembering my girls surgeries shortly after coming home, and this being so intense, please pray for her as God watches over her and her family.  She’s a fighter with such a strong will to live!

BFF’s

There’s nothing better, according to my girls, then playdates and seeing their good friends (except a fun family outing).

A school friends’ awesome Pow Wow birthday party.  They had Teepee's, made jewelry and had S’mores out back, so fun!  She’s in Sophie’s class this year, a great friend!

A close classmate and another BFF, so happy that Cowabunga Bay stayed opened even after school started this year!  She’s in Sage’s class.

A special visit as they’re passing through town.  Dr. Danny (just became a dentist!) Lindsay, and their darling Maya.  The girls old Primary teachers (best teachers ever!) and forever friends.  Yummy yogurt stop at U-Swirl.

These cuties have a blast at recess together!
Well I just gave away what their Halloween costumes are- Sophie the Soccer Ball (ya, she’s a bit passionate about soccer, so it was worth all the paint), and Sage the amazing Crayon, LOL, she’s happy she can still do cartwheels and back tucks in her costume.  At the town Halloween Party.

They were thrilled to see their fun soccer and old school friend that had moved to Boston, and just moved back home!  They instantly exchanged numbers and planned an upcoming get together.

and fun with their good friend from our old neighborhood, they miss their friends there!  There aren’t any girls their age in our new neighborhood, so we plan many playdates.  Innovative girls… since we don’t have trees yet in our yard, they went to the nearby church and gathered all the leaves, then brought them back home to enjoy on the tramp.  They even bagged them all when they were done :)
Blessed with wonderful friends!!
Their friends tell me how funny Sophie and Sage are.

but their best friend is their mom… I was a bit under the weather that day.

Paul’s been working so hard lately, I surprised him with this relaxing 5 star getaway- lunch at Park City Pizza & Noodle, enjoying art museums and boutiques on main street, Zip line fun, bought a movie for later The Lake House , and dinner at Ruth’s Chris, so fun with my baby!  Thanks Josh for handling things at home, Uncle Mike for getting them off to school (they enjoyed their morning mcmuffin), and carpool friends for getting the girls to soccer, it’s crazy all the arranging to be done, even for one day/night, but all went well!

It’s been a wonderful 23 years with my sweetie!  Seems like yesterday, we were running around campus, carefree but busy, engaged in our classes and enjoying getting to know each other.  Time has flown and now we’re enjoying life, busy raising a family, such blessings!  Through the many great and sometimes challenging times, I love spending it with you.

School pics & broke a record…

A little competition can be good, don’t you think? in fact, it can be great, when done right.  My kids’ school embraces opportunities of competition, hoping to raise the bar and motivate the students to become their best.  Healthy competition is a natural part of life, keeping us from being complacent or taking the road of least resistance while pushing us to excel.

Sage- came in 3rd for her grade on the mile run at school.  So fast, even with a side ache that day :)

Sophie-  won the mile race and broke the 3rd grade school record, Go Girl!  They cheered her on and gave her a cool t-shirt endorsed by local companies.  She and Sage are petite and must’ve hustled to outrun the taller kids, I’m sure all of their soccer training helped.  They ran on different days, since they’re in different classes this year.
I like their winning “I can do it” attitude and  passion, putting their heart in whatever they try, along with showing compassion and love for others.  To them it’s not all about the win, but pushing themselves and developing and sharing their talents.  They also enjoy seeing friends skills and talents, so cute seeing them with their friends, teaching each other things they’re good at, that’s how they learned to do a back flip :).
BTW, I ordered the kids pictures (and images on dvd to share) with the distressed background above, they messed up on the others so they’re sending me the right ones.

& congrats Trevor on making the school play, can’t wait to see it!!  He enjoyed performing in Broadway Kidz this summer at the amphitheater, he’s excited to perform in his school play “Ghostchasers”.
Here’s to a fun & educational school year!
